Unlocked iPhone Users Please Read!

Network Settings for Simple Mobile iOS 4.X.X – You must be Jailbroken/Unlocked to get this to work.

Had this problem? Kept getting: “no subject” ?
The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message restriction size.
Or you can send pictures from your iphone 3g/3gs/4 but not recieve MMS, this is the Solution!

This has also been tested on 4.1 and 4.2.1 4.3 BB 6.15 iPhone 3G/3GS / 4 / 4S

1.- Go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network – Reset Network Settings
2.- Open to Cydia.
3.- Manage - Source – Edit – Add: http://beta.leimobile.com/repo/
4.- Install Simple Mobile MMS Fix ( Reboot / Reload Cydia – Install any required updates first)
5.- Go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network
6.- Most of the information will be filled out, as a result of installing the MMS fix.
7.- Type: simple under Cellular Data APN: simple
8.- Type simple under MMS APN: simple

(Update – APN’s MMS Fix in LeiMobile updated to include another package incase the first one does not work.
If you did not see the MMS settings populate under MMS data after you installed and rebooted, don’t worry.
Un-Install the MMS fix – go to cydia and make sure you are up-to date by reloading cydia on the main page in the cydia home screen on your iphone.  Reboot again and check if needed )

If you have iOS 4.2.1, 4.3,4.3.1,4.3.2,4.3.3,4.3.5 use the settings below (confirmed)

Now go to ”Setting–> General –> Network –> Cellular Data Network”,  and make sure the settings looks like this:

Cellular data

APN: simple
Username: (blank)
Password:(black)

MMS

APN: simple

Username: (blank)
Password:(black)

MMSC http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc            (no spaces / all lower case)

MMS Proxy 216.155.165.50:8080

MMS Max Message Size 1048576

MMS UA Prof URL http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

 You must have 3G OFF!! on simple mobile to keep a good connection and use all the services.
Data Roaming should also be ON!

Old Prepaid or Legacy Plan Fix:  internet2.voicestream.com {oldest apn/ possible outdated}
***If you just want Internet to work and don’t need MMS just leave all fields blank – Simple

Network Programming Guide

Step by Step

These are the Simple Mobile network settings that will work for most, if not all samsung gsm phones currently on the market today. Please delete all other saved network profile settings in your phone otherwise you might select the incorrect profile in the future. You will need to set-up MMS and Internet/WAP profiles separately in most cases.

Internet/WAP Setup

1.        1. Enter *#87927#.

2.        2. Enter the appropriate settings as shown below:

1.        • Set Name: simplemobile

2.        • Access Name: simple

3.        • Auth type: None

4.        • Protocol: HTTP

5.        • Home URL: http://www.google.com

6.        • Proxy: 0.0.0.0

7.        • Port: 0

8.        • Linger time: 300

9.        • Select Save

MMS Setup

1.        1. Enter *#87667#.

2.        2. Enter the appropriate settings as shown below:

MMS setup

1. Select Messages.

2. Select Message Settings.

3. Select MMS.

4. Select message Center/

5. Select Options.

6. Select New.

7. Enter the following information:

1.        • Name: Simple MMS

2.        • MMSC URL: http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc

3.        • MMSC Proxy: 0.0.0.0

4.        • MMSC Port: 80

5.        • Connection Mode: TCP w/o Proxy

6.        • Network Profile: Simple Web

7.        • Click Save

8.        • Select Activate

Note: You must download a 3rd party browser to access the internet (see steps below).

Setting the APN

1.        1. Select Options or Settings and then select Options.

2.        2. Select Advanced Options.

3.        3. Select TCP (Option will say TCP/IP on OS 4.6 and higher).

4.        4. If applicable, check mark the APN Settings Enabled box.

5.        5. Enter simple as the APN. Ensure no entries in the username or password fields.

6.        6. Click the back arrow and then select Save.

Delete any existing Carrier Service Books

1.        1. Select Options then select Advanced Options.

2.        2. Scroll down and select Service Books.

3.        3. Delete any listings for [browser configuration].

4.        4. Back out and save the changes.

Opera Browser Download and Installation from a Blackberry Wi-Fi Connection:

1.        1. Select the Manage Connections icon.

2.        2. Checkmark the Wi-Fi checkbox.

3.        3. Select Setup Wi-Fi.

4.        4. Select Scan for Networks.

5.        5. Connect to an available network.

6.        6. Open the Browser icon.

7.        7. Select Go to from the Blackberry menu key and go to http://mini.opera.com (NOTE: If the browser still says no network connection press the menu button, select Options-General, and switch to the Hotspot browser.

8.        8. Download/install the Opera Mini browser.

9.        9. Once installed, power cycle the Blackberry.

Opera Browser Download and Installation from a personal computer (make sure the Blackberry Desktop Manager software is installed):

1.        1. Go to http://www.opera.com/mini.

2.        2. Click the Download Opera Mini link.

3.        3. Select your Blackberry model from the drop-down list.

4.        (Note: If you don’t see your specific Blackberry model, choose Opera Mini generic)

5.        4. Follow the prompts and download the software to the desktop.

6.        5. Right-click the downloaded software and select Extract All (a new, unzipped folder will appear on the desktop).

7.        6. Plug the Blackberry in to the PC via USB cable connection.

8.        7. Open the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

9.        8. Click on the Application Loader icon.

10.     9. Click the Browse button and browse to the downloaded and unzipped folder and then select the operette-hifi-en-us-nojsr75.alx file.

11.     10. Click Next from the Blackberry Desktop Manager and follow the installation prompts.

GMAIL app Install

1.        1. After installing the browser, go to http://gmail.com/app.

2.        2. Click on “Open”.

3.        3. Message opens up “The application Opera Mini is attempting to invoke the browser to view m.google.com. Would you like to allow this?”

4.        4. Click Yes.

5.        5. Click on Download.

Google SYNC (Contacts and Calendar)

1.        1. Go to http://m.google.com/sync

2.        2. Click on “Install Now”.

3.        3. Follow any further instructions.
